Hej!

On Thursday we had our last day in sweden. In the morning we’re all went to the school. The teachers are really nice there and we had so much fun in the breaks! After this school day we went to Ystadt, a nice town. Then we went to a museum and after this we went shopping. It was a nice day in Ystadt because the swedens and the germans are so funny! :) After this Leo, Fredd, Anna and me went to Leo’s house. Then we went to the bus station and drove to Sofia’s house. There we had a nice barbecue with the whole group. The evening was a nice end of this amazing week and we were all sad that we had to leave so early! All in all this exchange was a nice experience, and we’re all happy that we’ll meet in september again!

Love, Anna R. :)

Afterwards

Yesterday I woke up and felt like I hadn’t been away from home at all. But then all the memories came crushing down on me and still I have thousands of pictures in my head.

When I unpacked my suitcase I noticed that I hadn’t brought any souvenirs except some apple jam for my parents and the key ring and butter knife that I won in our little competitions. And when I looked at my photos together with my parents I noticed that I had only taken 160 photos and that they showed only a very small fraction of what I experienced.
I guess that is my biggest souvenir from Sweden: the experience and the memories.

On Friday I was both sad and happy to go home. On the one hand I didn’t want to leave because we were having such a great time there, but on the other hand I wanted to see my parents again and come back into a familiar environment.

Looking back I can only say thanks to all the people who were involved in this exchange.
Before I went to Sweden I was a bit frightened from what I had heard from other exchanges, but there were hardly any problems that couldn’t be solved.

The only thing I would recommend for future exchanges is that either there should be no projects to be done during the week in Simrishamn or there should be some time for just working on the projects because we all had problems visiting enough lessons and at the same time getting our projects done.

So everyone who is interested in getting to know a country which is quite unknown except for IKEA, elks and Pippi Longstocking should definitely take part in this exchange.

If I have the chance to go to Sweden again, I will do it, but I will wear warmer clothes for having learned from the cold I’m still struggling with…

Bye,
Sonja
