It’s just another manic (mon-)day…

After a tasty breakfast made by my exchange-mommy Lisbeth I left house at 8:00(!) - feels like having holidays!!! I went excited to school, because I wanted to go to the “Dance-Lesson” of the prominent musical-star from the school (he danced on saturday-night-fever, so you know, I’m not joking!). But I was confused and without the right plan - so there was no lesson on this monday with the prominent star! (Now I knew two things: 1. I’m going to become a little bit swedish and 2. I will not learn to tap dance!)

So I went to my “second exchange-mommy” Kerstin and had a nice time with her, her Pc and her friendly colleges (who all spoke to me in swedish - if it will continue like that, seems like I’ll go to be a real swedish girl!). Later I’ve got a compensation for my missed lesson in the morning: The friendly teacher Anders picked me up for his lesson in theatre - and he decided to give the lesson, in honor of me, in german - what a delight of the pupils (now they like me very much, I think…).

After that I decided, that was enough time on school - especially  for a monday! So I searched my Holger and we went to little Simrishamn into a very nice café, where the pupils already waited for us. They had to do a sensational rallye (invented by very creative teachers, of course) and gave us their products very proudfull! For Holger and me it was very surprising for what details some pupils were looking for…        Nevertheless, we really had a nice and funny time in the café all together! There were very informative talks for all of us (congratulation to all new lovers by the way); now we know about geographic on Sweden and Finland or about the dangerous side for a football player as well as about how expensiv a trip to Copenhagen is!

After such profound dialouges we teachers had to relax with a walk to the near sea - what a beautifull landscape (I hope, our “children” enjoy this too!!).

At my swedish home I corrected a few tests (teachers NEVER have free, little pupils!) and in the evening Lisbeth and me, we talked about swedish and german stuff while enjoying pasta and wine. But then I remember - oh boy, I have to blog this day!

So here I am - no, “Here I was”.

I hope, you all had a similiar happy manic monday too!

I wish you pupils a nice evening with the alpackas! Maybe that’s nearly as nice as beeing with elks, isn’t it?!

After this Sunday Regina and I are quite happy:
None of “our” pupils cried for home, misbehaved or collapsed until now.
None of “our” pupils seems to be very unhappy with their partner.
Everything appears to be fine, almost incredible!

If it goes on like this, we are sure: This will be a very nice exchange! Our plans for the next days:

Later on we will have trips to Ystad, Lund and Malmö - cities which are a little bit larger than Simrishamn.
On Wednesday there will be a farewell-evening, cause two of us are leaving already on Thursday.
We hope that you all are still so happy and lovely as you have been until now,
Even if probably not everything is succeeding as it is planned.

You are a lovely group, we take pleasure in this exchange until now! Thank you, go on like this!

Dear pupils, dear teachers, dear parents -

now we are here: The exchange Gymnasium Kerpen and Oesterlengymnasiet Simrishamn - this year for the 20th time! - has begun!

From 19th until 26th March we will tell you here what has happened and what was funny or stupid.
